Thanks to Social Media, there has been an influx of new fan pages especially on Facebook. Now, this may or may not apply to you and I don’t care what type of blog you use. (WordPress/Blogspot/Tumblr)

I don’t care about your fake wheels. If that’s your preference of tuning, so be it. What I do care about is adding some mystical value to your fake wheels on a center cap that shouldn’t be there in the first place. Why do it? It’s only “worth” it to fool newbies and teenyboppers but that’s about it. Problem with that is that they will follow whatever is considered “acceptable”. This isn’t. I dislike misinformation!
“Hater, since you’re talking about it. He must doing something right.”
No, stop saying that. What is this? Opposite day? If we’re going to go with that logic then having haters must mean your doing something right and having lovers must mean your doing something wrong. People hate because they don’t like you. PERIOD.
“Behind every successful person lies a pack of haters.”
Uh, whether your successful or not, there will be people that won’t like you. So, instead of flicking the finger, kill them with your smile. :)
“I don’t want to curb nice wheels!”
“This car already has a set of legit wheels.”
See statement above.
“I can’t afford $4000 wheels!”
Who said you have to? There is a used market where you can find legit wheels for a good price. Only downside? Patience and Research. The resources are there, find the ones suitable for you.
“It got featured because of fitment not authenticity.”
So? If it gets featured on a blog, all it does is promote more of this behavior that it’s okay. I’m pretty sure anyone can buy those wheels, lower it, call it a day then ask a website to feature them. If these are the things that passes for website features, you can count me out.
And this blog will not be operational anymore. This trend is over.
Thanks for the good times.
But here is the catch, I’m not going to be gone forever.
Normally when auto-bloggers talk about taking breaks, they bring up certain negative aspect that they are annoyed about. If one is constantly looking towards the negative, all they will get is the negative. Don’t let the scene have your own self-fulfilling prophecy. My perspective about the scene? It’s all positive. Making friends from around the world through shared interests is always a win. So why am I taking a break? Because I need it. I used to be so focused on this cat and mouse game of “Let’s get more stats!” but eh, that stuff doesn’t appeal to me now. I’m satisfied with where I’m at right now plus it was my year-end goal to reach that amount (it exceeded.) It’s a mixed bag for me anyways considering the variety of transportation I post can be great stats day or decent stats day. Also, the pressure of updating everyday? No thanks. 2/3rds of my readers are also bloggers so they can understand where I’m coming from.
“You need to step your game up.”
What game? Unless you mean the game. You lose.
“When will you be back?”
Don’t worry, not going to be THAT long.
“Is your Facebook Fan Page legit or fake?”
It’s real. Sometimes I forget to post a new entry up on the page.
If you like what I do, feel free to “like” it.
Well, this has been one exciting year I must say. I hope everyone enjoyed 2010 in various automotive events whether it was through automotive shows, meets, bbqs and track days with fellow gearheads and friends.
Before I say my thank yous, I would like to clarify my intentions for HellaFlush ≠ Canibeat entry. Yes, it seems like I’m targeting one and defending the other however that wasn’t the point. That wasn’t even the bigger picture. The bigger picture is this, inspiration is universal. It doesn’t matter who you are and what you do for your occupation. There is always that one guy/multiple groups you look up to as your influence in any aspect of the scene. All of this is for fun anyway….
I’ll try to keep this short with some text and visuals.
