Porsche Club of America-Werks Reunion
It was a few days before Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca and my friends were planning on logistics on what days we were planning to go. I was doing my usual Facebook routine until I saw some pictures of Werks Reunion prep by Porsche Club of America. Went onto their fan page and saw their cover photo of the 74 Carrera RS along with their website URL.
The Porsche Club of America is set to begin a new tradition in 2014 with the inaugural Werks Reunion. The new, premier Porsche event will take place on Friday, August 15, during the world-famous “Car Week” on California’s Monterey Peninsula. In years past, PCA co-hosted Legends of the Autobahn at the Rancho Canada Golf Club. All will be treated to a stunning display of more than 500 Porsches, access vendors, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow car enthusiasts. The 2014 show will feature the latest Porsches, special vehicle presentations, celebrity guests, and a surprise or two.
“Spectators are free to attend and I get to see 500+ Porsches!?”
I ended up carpooling with Robert and we planned on heading out there at 10:30AM. On our way, we ended up seeing a green McLaren P1 and lots of BMW i8s. Turns out BMW were delivering 10 i8s at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Carmel, California.
I didn’t bring my camera instead here are photos I took from my phone of cars that stood out to me at the event via Instagram.

I’ve read and watched about Magnus Walker’s Porsches through Pelican Parts, Speedhunters, StanceWorks and YouTube but to finally see the infamous 277 and the STR 002 was a treat.
Tune in next week for Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion coverage!
